My approach
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every business, organization, and project has different needs, and your website should support what you are actually trying to accomplish. I became a Squarespace expert through running my own business and helping my clients with theirs.
I take a collaborative approach to website projects, working with you to understand your audience, your goals, your brand, and what you want your website to communicate. My goal isn't simply to make your website look good. It's to create a website that is clear, functional, cohesive, and genuinely useful for both you and the people you're trying to reach.
We'll start with a conversation.
We'll talk about what you have now, what you want to change, and what you need your website to accomplish. If you're starting from scratch, we'll talk through your goals, audience, content, and the pages and functionality you'll need.
I'll help organize the pieces.
Once we know what the site needs to do, I'll help determine the structure and content. This may include organizing existing copy, identifying gaps, refining messaging, creating page layouts, and thinking through how visitors will move through your site.
I'll bring it together.
I'll build or refresh your website and incorporate your branding, imagery, graphics, and content into a cohesive design. Throughout the process, you'll have opportunities to review the work and provide feedback. I want the finished website to feel like something you are proud to share.
And I'll help you keep it going.

If you want to manage your website yourself, I can provide guidance and training so you feel comfortable making updates. If you'd rather have someone else handle the details, I can also provide ongoing website updates and maintenance.

A couple recent examples of websites I’ve created or redesigned.
PregnantTogether is an online queer family building community. I redesigned the website, built new pages for events, an annual conference, and maintain the website. I also provide live event support, email marketing, and general project management for this client.
Ohana Qigong is a non-profit project that required the creation of a password-protected site for practitioners and students. The site includes multiple video libraries, a digital resource guide, a separate password-enabled section for staff members, and much more.
